Wonder how EAL SHSM works?

Develop a strategic plan

Our workshops commence with an overview of horse behaviour, herd interactions and the collaborative approach students will adopt as a team. Each exercise is designed with a specific central goal in mind. Through a series of activities in the arena, students grouped in teams of 2 to 6, will have the opportunity to strategize before interacting with their assigned horse. One program objective could be focused on communication or promoting strong relationships.

Building trust with the horse

Students are paired with a single horse and are required to navigate through the arena while accomplishing various small tasks. Students develop non-verbal communication skills and learn the importance of clear communication, which can be applied in various aspects of their lives. This hands-on approach fosters a sense of accountability and self-awareness, empowering students to become more confident and resilient individuals.

Long-lasting Impact

Understanding the "aha" moment! It's that moment when something finally clicks and you understand it. We make sure to allocate time for debriefing and reflection to converse about the key insights gained from interacting with the horse. It's common for students to be surprised by the self-discoveries made and these moments can serve as catalysts for personal development and progress.
